ABO Energy Reaches Agreement with Financing Partners on Extension of Standstill Agreement and Continuation of Restructuring Process

Treuenbrietzen Solar Park

(Wiesbaden, 31 July 2026) ABO Energy GmbH & Co. KGaA has made significant progress in its ongoing restructuring process: today, the company reached an agreement with its financing partners on an extension of the existing standstill agreement until 30 November 2026. This provides the company with the necessary timeframe to continue consistently pursuing the course it has embarked upon towards a sustainable restructuring and financing solution.

The extension of the standstill agreement underlines the financing partners’ confidence in ABO Energy’s ongoing restructuring process and demonstrates their willingness to continue actively supporting it. Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) Britta Hübner commented on the extension as follows: “Given the complexity of the negotiations involving a large number of financing partners, the agreement provides ABO Energy with the necessary time to develop a viable and long-term solution.”

Discussions between ABO Energy and its financing partners continue to be constructive and are being conducted in a trustful atmosphere. Acting on behalf of the financing partners, financial adviser Rothschild & Co is currently developing proposals for a future-proof financing solution to support the further restructuring process.
